Interesting, I did a quick search on the web (google) and didn't find any discussion or examples of unbalanced starting positions for white. I welcome any help from someone with more chess experience than myself (a relative beginner) to find such an example.
Perhaps Fischer was right when he said the standard game of chess has become ruined. By knowing the starting conditions ahead of time and forcing certain lines, a player with good memorization skills or a good script can substitute for a player with genuine talent.
