Why Not Have A Move Take-Back Option?

thats clearly missing who wants to win a game only because opponents rook went one square short instead of capturing

Perhaps a better option would be a provisional move 'mode' where you could play a move and see what it looks like before actually submitting it.

You want something to help you cheat. I want something practical and helpful.

total BS the takeback has to be approved be the opponent

On the mobile version, there is a "confirm move" option.
It would be a good idea for chess.com to add that.
But in the proposed variation, there would be no arguments, since the rules would specify that a take-back could occur only once per game after the player had moved and the opponent had responded. It would not be a matter of requesting the take-back option but of asserting the take-back right. Of course the responding playing would then not be required to maintain his earlier responding move.

A takeback option would be horrific for online chess. People would just abuse it like how forums are abused. However Popy is right, there should be a "confirm move" option you can enable/disable whenever you want. So for example if you're playing a 3 minute game or under, disable it. Above and use it etc. That would stop a lot of misclicks from affecting the game.
on the other site you can also disable them in your settings
Why not add to the 'Play Live Games' section and option for games allowing each player once per game to withdraw a move after the other player has responded to it and play a different move? This would cut down on blunders spoiling the rational struggle which the game is supposed to be, and would also replicate the old usage of casual games where friends would allow their competitor to withdraw a blunder.
