I have started a thematic engine tournament yesterday, and no one seems interested! Why not??

Joining your tournament might be seen as admission of cheating by some of the more paranoid people on this site. I suspect that many haven't joined because they would potentially get a lot of accusations.

Another reason might be that people don't know about it. I didn't until I saw your message.

and i cant see that joining either the advanced group or an engines allowed tournament is in anyway admitting to being a cheat. It is just another form of the game which adds another level of analysis.

I didn't say it was an admission of cheating. I said it would be seen by some as such. I agree with you that it is just another form of the game but unfortunately not everybody sees it that way.

Another thing I didn't know, there is an advanced chess group here. I must keep my eyes open more.
