Go to your Home button and choose from the scrolling list the Tournaments. Click on it and you will enter the Tournaments page. You will see the ones that are to start and the ones that are already finished. Click on the tournament you want to play in and follow the instructions. However, you need to have played at least some games here on chess com before being allowed to play in the tournament. I don't know exactly the regulations.

I do not think there is any "Live chess" tournaments...almost all are turn-based!!
