Chess like anything requires good physical, and mental stamina.
Exercise, and get plenty of rest.
Even a nap between rounds helps.
Serious, I recommend yoga. Korchnoi is the best example. At old age, he can still play classical chess tourneys.

I recently had to drop my last round of an OTB tournament due to fatigue and a headache. Is there any way to improve endurance in chess? Any advice is appreciated!
