The below is how I understand things, although I have a feeling there must be more to Twitch that I haven't figured out.
YouTube live streaming has a time slider so you can go back and forth through the show even while it is still live.
Twitch has no time slider. Can't go back to see what happened, to replay a key moment etc. Once its over, its over.
YouTube is also much easier to search to find previous programs, even a year or more old. I haven't searched Twtch that much but it seems not so simple.
Even the Twitch replays don't have the time slider? This seems too crappy to be true. What am I doing wrong?
