The American Post legion in my area has charged me with setting up a local chess tournament and I need help! I want to do an unsanctioned chess tournament... I have secured a cash prize, and a hall complete with tables and chairs for a two day weekend event. I need boards, pieces and CLOCKS! Thinking about using the Swiss system, but turnout will dictate format. Early estimates are fifteen to twenty players witha twenty-five dollar entry fee... ANYBODY with ANY suggestions on how I can "borrow" some equipment for a tournament in Youngstown, Ohio, PLEASE ADVISE!
