Maximum Timeout Percentage To Join Tournaments

Hello Chess.com community,

I really want to join some daily chess tournaments, but when I try the site says I have timed out of too many games in the last 90 days. My timeout percentage is about 60%. What is the maximum percentage it can be for me to be able to join a tournament, and how long do I have to wait?

Each tournament has a maximum timeout %age, you can see it when you click the one you want to join. Most are set at 10% or a similarly low figure, but there are some with 100% (so no limit).

Okay, thank you! Do you know if I will have to wait a full 90 days?

As time passes your time out %age should drop - as long as you don't time out in any more games.

This is true but it can also increase as completed games also will stop being counted in the 90-day window.
