Tip: versing is not a verb form of versus. Those 13 year olds will make fun of you and possibly beat you up if you say something that foolish.

Jesus christ, settle down mate. I go to school still, and I can almost guarentee the only ones that could potentially get beaten up would be the person who's correcting such an easy mistake.

I agree and no one would get beaten up anyway

rating; not age matters if you really are just 824 it is king of low as 800 is a beginner.who do you think you are? i have seen your games you have lost from easily winning positions.

could be bad. but it depends on how your opponents are..........they could be worse

As others have said, play the position as best you understand it. Most 11 and 13 year olds are not that great at chess so don't get sucked into age/rating intimidation. My best rating was when I stopped trying and just played the position in front of me as I understood it. It was a "wax on, wax off" moment for me. Also, if you lose a game try to figure out what misconceptions caused you to do that or if it was a blunder that could be fixed by tactical training. You may need access to a good coach for that.

Congratulations to you and your team.

You have some good experience to build on from there.

Solve as many tactics puzzles as you can each day and your playing strength will grow fast.

Dont pay attention to it. I play people much older than me, and i have a pretty good success rate.

Any tips would be really helpful

thanks guys

1. Have FUN - the most important thing.

2. Play the board, not the rating, the age, the person.

3. You will learn more from your losses than your wins.
