Only one tournament?

Am I correct in my understanding that as a free member, I can only play in one member tournament ever?

No, you are not correct.  You can play in one member-created tournament at a time.  Once your games are done (even if the tournament itself is not yet over), then you may enter another.  Note that you may still enter an unlimited number of official Chess.com tournaments.

just make sure you dont enter one with awardchess in it, you may find that you only get the one ever afterall :-) (only joking flamers)
