People waiting out arena clock to avoid a loss?

Just finished a 10|0 rapid arena, didn't go great but that's besides the point. In the last game, I was up a rook in a pawn endgame and we each had ~5 minutes or so on our clocks. There were 3 minutes on the arena clock, so they just waited it out and the game ended unresolved and I didn't get a win.

Is there any way to resolve this? I reported the player but this seems very unfair, stalling is one thing but here I just lost out on the points.

No. It's very common in the last game of an Arena.

There is nothing worth reporting a player for this, arena last 1-2 hours so just live with it.

It's a strategy in the end, it doesn't make such a difference.

It's a valid strategy. The onus is on you to manage both your own clock + the arena clock.

For example, if you're starting a 10|0 game with 13 minutes on the arena clock, you need to make sure you can win without using up more than 3 minutes of your clock. Or alternatively, you need to make sure that if you're losing, you can get your opponent's clock under 7 minutes.

Think of the clock as an extra piece on the board much like a promoted pawn. It can be  powerful in the end game, often decisive.
