Playing to Rating

I am a member of Group 7 of Pairings - Get Award Gold Membership.2 tournament and I had a look at the pairings.  The group is in reducting rate order and it is interesting to note that practically all the games to the left of the "X" are 0s and all to the right are 1s indicating that every member is playing to the rating as of the start of the tournament.  This is, of course, what we should expect.

Group #7

The group is not in a reducing rate of order, there are a number of players out of position and underperforming according to their rating. What is adjusting the pattern is actually the result set of each game.

I really think there should be shorter gaps between mins and max rating in tourneys, I understand officially this is how it should be, but, aren't we all here to have fun? At least give people the chance to choose :)

All "official chess.com" tournaments have shorter gaps between mins and max rating. This is a "member-created" tournament. There are many others with a specified ratings range.

I agree, but I choose not to play these.
