You might just consider downloading a Tourney software that essentially runs the show for you. An example would be :

Hello all . :)
i am considering setting up my first tournament but cant find any help files on how to do it.
things like number of rounds, tie breaks,group sizes etc are confusing to a newbie like myself.
Could anyone direct me to a good post on how to do such things or please feel free to post here with advice to a complete newcomer to directing tournies.
