In real life, folks from Indonesia can be a mixed bag. Some people from there are good, respectful people. However, arguably just as many of them are horrible and insufferable. Unfortunately, those among the worst congregate on this site to harass players by playing bogus games. The online world is different from real life, yes, but so many bad actors of similar background can leave a lasting impression of people from that same background, even if it happens to be inaccurate. But it's just pattern recognition at the end of the day. If you're bad at that much, then what are you doing on a site for a game all about pattern recognition?

It not just a single time or two that I saw a toxic Indonesian, but most of the time, spanning from around 800 ratings to 1600+ for me, from trolling playstyle to straight up just trolling and cursing their opponent, like my recent game, a few match or two before I'm doing this post, well, I'm messed up for mouse slip the opening (suppose to be pirc but it something else) and gone into a horrible position, and fell into a near mate situation which is the first time he messed with me and a bunch more, that pisses me off as at the end, he harassing me, then accept the rematch, just to abort right after, and still online after that, just not playing showing that he is want to make other mad, and that the final straw. Is not the first time that I encounter this type of player, and most of them are indonesian for some reason, from all my account (6 in total) spanding from low rating to around 1600. Please, I'm really mad right now and if you can explain this, thank you and I hope I can crush every Indonesian chess player that i meet until the are no longer toxic

Yeah I do agree, mostly Indonesian digital citizens are so toxic. But no in the real citizens. idk, maybe they're just expressing their unstable emotion since in digital they can't feel direct consequence. i might say they (toxics one) just like uneducated teenagers. please forgive them. and if you find a sign of their toxicness just ignore the chat and report. As an Indonesian, I promise to advice all Indonesian players i met in match.
