Play on, keep quiet, it's not your duty to "claim a loss". It's your opponent's duty to "claim a win".
When you yourself flag -- what are the rules and etiquette?

From USCF scholastic rules:
Defining a win.
3) Whose opponent's flag falls first, at any time before the game is otherwise ended, provided he points it out and neutralizes the clock while his own flag is still up and that player still has mating material.
I played at a blitz tournament last night and there were a couple of times when I flagged. I pointed it out to my opponent when it happened. But I wasn't sure if that's what you're supposed to do. Are you supposed to wait for them to notice it instead?
