It is very possible the player withdrew from the tourney. That would have the same effect.
Why a player gets removed from a tourney?

No, his/her status is Removed. And the account is even closed now.

I followed the link you provided in your first post and as of right now I'm seeing "withdrew" and the account is still active.
I am new to Chess.com and joined my first "multi-day tournament". One of the players has been removed and all their games are said to have been lost by resignation (many of them without a single move made). I did my best to find out why a player gets removed. It seems that TD can do such a thing but if it happens removed players can finish their games and they get removed when the current round is over, i.e. they do not advance regardless of their score. Since it cannot be the case here I presume there are some rules the removed player must have broken.
When it comes to online chess I know that players can be removed when their rating becomes too low or high with respect to the tournament limits (this is an open tournament) or they lose a given number of tournament games on time which did not happen here either. Consequently, I would like to ask for a list of tournament rules for I would not want to be removed for breaking any of them unintentionally.
