One school of thought is that high-prize tournaments will get a large amount of publicity. This in turn, will generate interest in chess and attract sponsers. As a result, more people will play chess because of the opportunity to win big prizes, and the cost of entering the tournaments will drop becasue the sponsers will be paying a large portion of the costs.

I heard from a lot of players that tournaments like "millionairechess" is good for USCF but why ? they are really expensive not a cost effective way and it kills the chances of player who like to participate in it ! other than that chances to wining that is low and you need to really work hard , they said that we will make the tournament unique but they dont even give a chess clock and players should to bring it with themselves. i would like to hear that what you think about this tournament ?
