About the x|y part:
For example 15|10, the "15" is the number of minutes you have to play the game. The "10" is the number of seconds added to the time after each move. Suppose you made your 1st of the game after 3 seconds after the game started. So, your time should be then 14 minutes and 57 seconds/14:57, but because of the "10 second increment", your time will be 15:07. This applies to 3|2, 5|5, or any games containing increments.
