The restriction is for the average time per move of less than 3 hours, not less than or equal to.

It says clearly in the tournament description:
Max Avg Time/Move: 3 hours
When setting up tourneys, that feature actually says < 3 hours (for that move time). So, not sure if maybe skotheim2 is correct and that you might have an average time per move of just over 3 hours (say 3.1 hours) or if they are actually checking for less than 3 as the tourney set up option shows.
I'm confused about this, it wasn't very clear. Can't my games be longer than 3 hours? How is this average calculated? I'm on vacation and I play all day, at least 50 games a day.
Now I understend:
To determine if your average time per move is too high for a tournament, you need to calculate your average and compare it to the expected time for the time control. A good rule of thumb is to aim for approximately 1 minute and 50 seconds per move in a 45-minute game with a 45-second increment.
I only play 2 or 3 days games, so... The expected time per move is two or three times more high more the expected to this tournement.
To me this explains a few things.
ok!
