Alright everyone. I have done a lot of chess ladder type tournaments for you guys, but none of them seemed to succeed except for one. That's my fault.
But right now I'm committing to this tournament I'm about to explain to you. Here is how it works.
This is a two league divisional championship. There will be the Alpha and Bravo Leagues. There will be 3 divisions within each league, each holding 5 people, all making it a 30 person championship.
The people within each divison will play 9 games. I will pair the people up against each other in a 48 hour time control.
Eventually, there will be a postseason. What will happen is the 3 people that clinch their divisions with the most wins move on to the ALDS or BLDS, meaning Alpha League Divison Series and Bravo League Divison Series. There will be two divison series within each league. The opponents will play a best of 3 series, time control 48 hours. Example.
ALDS: thundermaster129 vs chesslegend130
ALDS Number 2: winorlose89 vs loseorwin90
Same goes for the Bravo League.
Now since there are 3 clinching people within each league there will be a 1 game wild card to see who plays the other clincher who doesn't have an opponent. This goes for both the AL and the BL. This Wild Card game will be in 48 hour format. So it's pretty much a win or go home type of thing.
The winners who win their respective Divison Series move on to either the ALCS or the BLCS. This stands for Alpha League Championship and Bravo League Championship.
This determines who wins their leagues in all. There will be a best of 5 game series in this one at 48 hour time control.
Whoever wins their leagues goes on to the World Series. A best of 7 format with 48 hour time control. Whoever wins the world series is the best player in the 1100 KINGS league Championship.
