yeh sure does but 1 thing are the games rated?
Tournament?
It could be organized easily on the forums here, or alternatively in the Chess.com Tournaments section. However, this would stop a few people (who are playing in other tournaments, or have high timeout %) from playing.
I just joined this group and not total sure how all this works but I'm open to a tournament rated or unrated doesn't matter to me. Just give me instructions on what I need to do. thanks
that sounds fine idea to me modern, count me in, rob can we get that sorted out? all members interested please message me or rob.not sure if we can do it unrated though, don't think can do long games like that, if i'm wrong please let me know anyone how do it. i need to against amir lol

Yeah, you can definitely do unrated long games. Under "Start a game", click the Advanced Options link, and change rated to unrated.
Well, we can try it using the forums as you suggested Modern... Should we use the same sort of games that are in they team matches... we will agree to a specified game setting and then run a list... Update via the forums, have one post dedicated to the progress of the tournament etc.? Or, are there other ideas.
I'm a slag, I'm game for anything, so count me in. ;)
Although I don'y understand how any of this works properly, as I don't know the site in great detail, but yeh, I'll push any buttons! :D
Alright then... Send me and Dream a message if you are interested... I'll accumulate a list and create a post with the current people, ratings etc. Also, I will propose a few game settings etc.
So, start the messages so I can accumulate a list.. Now lets focus our attention on how it will run... Suggestions, (I heard some propose unrated).. I also heard the idea of double elimination... Any other ideas...
lets run two tournaments rob, one rated, one not. rated one, can we do in style of normal tournament game on site? i.e group stages etc. unrated one well single game knockout sounds good or limit moves i thinking again if we can do it. that sound good to all members? please post replys, then as rob says we can get cracking on it
Just an idea I had for a group activity. A group tournament with such a small sized group could easily be organized through the forums here. Just rank the players in order of rating, and pair each as in a normal tournament. In case of an odd number, the highest ranked player could have a one round bye. To play, all the members would anyone would have to do would be to challenge their assigned partner. Sound fun?
