A team in the ECF's regional slow play county competition for ECF members and Supporters graded under 100 (rated U1450), The National 100, a mini-league between 4 regional teams covering the whole of England.  The three all-play-all matches will be played at 6:30pm on Saturdays 8, 15 and 22 August, alongside the Open and U150 (U1825) finals stage of the English Online County Championships,  The National 100 is A Tier 1 ECF online standard rated event played at a rate of 60 + 15 (all moves in 60 minutes + 15 second increments).  The ECF January 2020 standard grading list applies.  The Rules.  

The National 100 is open to all chess players U100 in England with or without an ECF grade (see below to check you qualify).  You do not need to have played for your county before but you do need to have an association (see the list at the end of his form) with one of the counties forming part of the Midland Outlaws Regional Team.   

The matches will be played over as many boards as we can.   If you cannot play in all of the matches provide availability in the additional information box on the registration form.  We hope to run a pool match each week for the regional reserves.    

 

The Midland Outlaws are Derbyshire, Herefordshire, Gloucestershire, Leicestershire & Rutland, Lincolnshire, Northamptonshire, Nottinghamshire, Shropshire, Staffordshire, Warwickshire and Worcestershire.

 

See below to check your  county and playing strength eligibility, along with the conditions of entry before you enter.  If you are below the grading/rating cap to enter you will need to provide your ECF ME number, your chess.com username, county and contact email.  Legitimate interest processing of personal data is set out in the Rules and is in accordance with the ECF Privacy Notice.

Registration by a player (or parent/guardian of a junior player) shall be deemed to be acceptance of the conditions of entry and that the ECF shall have no liability (whether in contract, tort or otherwise) in respect of the implementation of the fair play rules below. 

The ECF reserves the right to refuse and/or revoke any player registration at its absolute discretion without explanation.

 

Playing strength eligibility

For determining player eligibility below 100 the following 2020  ECF grading lists will be used in order until a published grade is shown for the player:   Jan. Standard, Jan Rapid, July Standard & finally July Rapid.   Players without any 2020 ECF grade will be eligible to play if they have a Chess.com rapid rating on registration below 1450 based on at least 8 games played. 

 

County association

You have an association with your County if any one of the following apply:

  • Birth in that county
  • Five years’ domicile in that county at any time
  • Two months’ immediate previous and present membership of a club either in or affiliated to that County
  • One month’s immediately previous and present domicile in that County
  • Present attendance as a student at a school, college or university in that County

Conditions of entry and participation

  • Acceptance of the ECF Online Anti-Cheating & Fair Play Rules
  • Compliance with the ECF Online Safeguarding Code of Conduct
  • publication of a player’s name, title, Chess.com username, ratings/grades and associated team lists, team sheets and matchcards on the  ECF LMS, ECF Website, ECF online rating list and on Chess.com; 
  • Using the same chess.com account for the duration of the event
  • Not serving a ban from ECF Clubs.
