My Coaching Services

Greetings,

Are you someone (Or someone you know) that wants to improve your game, but doesn’t know how to do so? Or even stuck at a rating for a long time? If so, please read on, as this message may help you.

First, allow me to introduce myself:

My name is Qi Pang (Brian). I am a National Master, and have been playing the game of chess for more than 7 years, plus 2 years of coaching experience. I am currently ranked #6 in the country by the United States Chess Federation for 15-year-olds , and back in 2019, I had the opportunity to represent the U.S. chess team in the World Cadet Chess Championship in China. I was invited again in 2021, and once more in 2023. I earned the National Master Title (NM) in December 2022. My current rating is USCF: 2314, and FIDE: 2211

Now, about my coaching:

For the last 2 years, I have established a chess club in my high school and have been teaching students in my school. And I also have other private students around my area, (I live in New York, by the way).

I specialize in positional thinking, nowadays, many people focus on rather beautiful sacrifices, and fury attacking games. But we seem to forget that this is not the only aspect of chess (Even if you’re an attacking player I could still help you improve your “attacking” and bring up your “weaker” side). Not only this, I can truly help you improve your thinking and teach you the secrets of what’s inside a chess master’s mind during a game. Some people may think chess masters are absolute geniuses, and the ability to calculate long complex variations are mind blowing, but actually, it's quite simple.
