Hello and welcome to the chess.com group for Leeds, Yorkshire.

We represent Leeds in the Yorkshire Cup, Club World Cup and World Cities League. If you are resident in Leeds or have any link to Leeds, past or present, you are welcome to join.

The 2025-26 season has just started with a game against Iran’s Kish Island. We have exciting matches to come this season against teams from Australia, Kazakhstan and Italy, among others.

We secured a 2nd place finish in our World Cities League division in the 2024-25 season for the second year in a row, scoring 7/9 against a range of teams from far-flung cities such as Jakarta, Dhaka and Dublin, as well as local matches against other Yorkshire teams.
