phpwM6QHC.jpegThe 2013 Russian Team Championships are taking place in Loo in Sochi from 7-13 April.

There are 18 teams competing for the title, and as usual many of the best players in the world are taking part. However, last year's champions Tomsk-400 are not returning to defend their title. But several of their players, Karjakin, Motylev, Bologan and Khismatullin have found homes with new teams this year.

The new format introduced last year, a seven-round Swiss, is being used once again. Teams consist of 6 players and 2 reserves. A separate women's event with 6 teams is also taking place.

The time control is 90 minutes for 40 moves, then 30 minutes until the end, with a 30 second increment from the start. Check out some of the great games below!

All rounds start at 15:00 CET (13:00 UTC). The full results can be found here, and live coverage (In Russian) is available here.

After 3 rounds top seeds Malakhit and fourth seeds St.Peterburg are the only teams that still have perfect match scores of 3 wins from 3 matches played.
