Former FIDE World Champion Veselin Topalov of Bulgaria has been out of the spotlight recently, but on 3 October he played a clock simultaneous* exhibition with the four top players from Ireland.

The exhibition took place in Dublin, and the time limit was all moves in 2 hours.

The match result was an entertaining 2-2 draw. Topalov lost on the top board to GM Alexander Baburin (2535 Elo), but won against IM Mark Quinn (2398 Elo) on board four.  The other games against IM Sam Collins (2436 Elo) and IM Alex Lopez (2414 Elo) were drawn.

Unfortunately technical difficulties prevented the live broadcast of the event, but the games are now available below.

*In a clock simultaneous, each game has a clock, so the player giving the exhibition could have all the clocks running against him at the same time.
