12th Poikovsky Tournament
The 12th edition of the Poikovsky Tournament in honour of the former world champion Anatoly Karpov runs from 4-13 October in Russia.
Last year's champion Sergey Karjakin (pictured) is back once again to head an impressive field in the strongest ever Poikovsky tournament.
Also returning from last year are Dmitry Jakovenko, Alexander Motylev, Sergey Rublevsky and Alexander Onischuk - all former winners of the competition!
