Photo from official siteThe 2008 Miami Chess Open was held from 10-14 September and won by the 13 year-old American prodigy, Ray Robson (pictured), ahead of several Grandmasters.

Ray lives with his parents in Florida and would like to become a professional chess player one day.  Looks like he's already well on the way!

After 9 hard fought rounds, Ray was tied with GM Darmen Sadvakasov of Kazakhzan on 7 points and proceeded to win the Armageddon playoff.

Below is a video of Ray giving a simultaneous exhibition last year at the Clermont Chess Club, and one of Ray's wins from the event.  Look out for more of Ray in the future!
