14 GMs at Haije Kramer & Waling Dijkstra tournaments

Already eleven GMs have entered the Waling Dijkstra tournament that will be held November 18-20, 2011 in Leeuwarden, The Netherlands. The list of participants includes Namig Guliyev from Azerbaijan and his strong compatriot Rauf Mamedov. The Haije Kramer Vierkamp, a group of four invited players, has GMs Sipke Ernst, Jan Werle and Daan Brandenburg and IM Migchiel de Jong.

Besides the two Azeris, the two strong
Ukrainian grandmasters Yuri Solodovnichenko and Andrey Sumets are on the list, as well as GMs Krasimir Rusev, Vladimir Petkov and Petar Genov and IM Petar Arnaudov of Bulgaria. The following young IMs are from the United States, Belarus and Russia respectively: Alexander Lenderman, Nikita Maiorov and Alexandre Danin. You can still register for the Waling Dijkstra open; participation is free for players up to 17 years and students pay a reduced rate. There are special youth prizes.
