The 28th European Chess Club Cup is underway in Eilat, Israel. The competition will run from 11-17 October and features the top European clubs with very strong players representing them. 

Top seeds SOCAR Azerbaijan will face still competition from SHSM-64, Economist-SGSEU Saratov and Saint-Petersburg.

The championship is played as a 7-round Swiss, and the time control is 90 minutes for 40 moves, then 30 minutes to a finish with an increment of 30 seconds per move from the start.

Draw offers are not allowed until after the time control at move 40.

Games start at 15:00 (13:00 UTC) local time except the final round which starts at 10:30.
