50th Doeberl Cup
With the sad announcement that Linares is cancelled for another year, it is worth celebrating a tournament which reaches its unbroken half-century this year.
The 50th Doeberl Cup in Canberra, Australia runs from 5-9 April. The main event is the 'Premier' 9-round Swiss which has attracted 80 entrants, led by top seed Levente Vajda of Romania.
