Anand-Gelfand in Moscow?
Breaking news: Ilya Levitov, FIDE Vice-President and Head of the Russian Chess Federation Board mentioned that "a serious sponsor has expressed interest in hosting the Anand-Gelfand World Chess Championship match in Moscow. The application has already been sent to FIDE".
The sponsor offered to cover all the expenses associated with organizing the event and provide an impressive $2,000,000 prize fund (tax-free!).
FIDE President's assistant Berik Balgabaev confirmed receiving the application and mentioned that he "can't disclose the names of the applicants, but India and Israel may also be interested in hosting the match".
