Opening Press Conference Anand-KramnikJust about one and a half hours ago there was a press conference at the Art & Exhibition Hall in Bonn, where Viswanathan Anand and Vladimir Kramnik spoke to the press. Here's just a quick article with a few pics; later there will be video material of course. Hopefully I'll be able to post it tonight.

Next Tuesday at 15:00 CET the first game will start, but ChessVibes is already in Bonn, and you can expect on-the-spot coverage right from the city where the 2008 World Championship Match between Anand and Kramnik will take place. For more information on the match, we refer to our special match page.

Here are a few photos from today's press conference:

The press conference started with a photo shoot...

...and then it was time for questions of course!

The world champion was looking quite relaxed and confident...

...and sometimes very cheerful actually.

But as a former world champion, the challenger knows what to expect...

...so he seemed to feel fine as well, and was joking along.

Anand vs Kramnik starts in two days and the world is looking forward to it!
