Anand v Topalov Game 1
The first game of the World Chess Championship is underway in Sofia. The players blitzed out the early moves of a Grunefeld defence, but have now slowed down to start thinking.
Topalov is white, Anand black. Anand is ahead by a pawn, but Topalov has a lead in development and better coordinated pieces as compensation.
UPDATE: Topalov looks to be winning, Anand is in desperate trouble.
