What Is Anichess?
Anichess is a chess-inspired game where players have the added ability to use spells during the game. The spells, ranging from summoning a new pawn to turning one of your pieces invisible, add a new layer of strategy to the time-old game of chess.
When playing Anichess, you'll choose one or three spells before the game starts. You'll gain one mana point per turn if you don't cast a spell. Each spell has a different effect, mana cost, and a limit to how many times you can cast it. Check out their official guide to learn more about Anichess.
The combination of different spells and the new set of resources to manage (mana and spell caps) gives Anichess a refreshing and dynamic gameplay!

What Is The Anichess x Chess.com Tournament?
The Anichess x Chess.com Tournament is a prize-money event that anyone can enter—and anyone can win!
Starting on February 13, players can join the event qualifiers and play against others to climb the rankings. By March 3, the top 64 players will move on to the Playoffs and compete for a share of the $10,000 prize fund, distributed as follows:

To participate in the event, you must create an Anichess account. Once you have your account, go to the Anichess x Chess.com Tournament informational page and follow the instructions to join the tournament.
If you don’t make it to the Playoffs, you can still enjoy the live broadcast of the event, which starts with the round-of-16 matches on March 7.
