April 21-22: Blitz/Bullet Marathon By GM Libiszewski For "Le Tournoi"
GM Fabian Libiszewski will give a 24-hour blitz/bullet simul marathon on April 21-22 in honor of Le Tournoi, a film about chess that will launch in France on April 29.
With the marathon, Libiszewski (GM Fablibi on Chess.com!) puts the spotlight on a new chess film that is about to be released. The Tournament is about an international tournament in Budapest, Hungary where the favorite to win is Cal Fournier (22), the French champion. However, a nine-year-old Hungarian opponent has other plans.
WARNING: This trailer contains some explicit behavior that may be unsuitable for children.
The film is written and directed by Elodie Namer. The key roles are played by Michelangelo Passaniti (as Cal), Lou de Laage (as Lou), Magne Brekke (as Viktor), Adam Corbier (as Max), Fabien Libiszewski (as Aurélien), Thomas Soliveres (as Mathieu), Alyosha Schneider (as Anthony) and Viktoria Kozlova (as Andrea).
You will recognize the name of Libiszewski among the actors — he plays one of the friends of main character Cal. Only one month ago Libiszewski came third at the Reykjavik Open.

In fact he is not the only chess player who plays in the movie. French number one GM Maxime Vachier-Lagrave has a cameo as one of the participants of a simul:

Libiszewski is rated 2530, and is coach of the French national team. His blitz/bullet simul marathon will start April 21 at 4 pm CET, 10 am New York, 7 am Pacific and end 24 hours later (!). Any Chess.com member is welcome to participate and make this event a success.
Commentary on Chess.com/TV will be provided sporadically throughout the bullet marathon by IM Danny Rensch. We're still negotiating to have him presenting for 24 hours straight!
