In round four of the Grand Slam Final in Bilbao, Lev Aronian (pictured) won for the third time in a row to take the overall lead.

Aronian beat early leader Alexander Grischuk in an exciting game, where an early bishop sacrifice (10. Bxb5) was followed by sustained pressure which finally bore fruit after 42 moves.

Shirov and Karjakin ended in a draw by repetition after 36 moves.
