The NH Tournament in the Netherlands has been dominated by the 'Rising Stars' team but in the fifth round the margin of victory was the narrowest yet and at long last a member of the 'Experience' team won a game!

Well done Viktor Korchnoi (pictured) who beat Erwin L'Ami to end his run of four losses.  Hopefully this win marks a big comeback!  However, the 'Rising Stars' still managed to win the round 3-2 after Ivan Cheparinov and Wang Yue came out on top in their games.

The overall score is now 19-6 to the 'Rising Stars' team.

Wang Yue narrowly leads the race for the top 'Rising Stars' score on an amazing 5/5 ahead of Cheparinov on 4.5/5, with the prize of an invite to next year's glamorous Melody Amber tournament on offer.

The results in round 5:

Agdestein, Simen - Caruana, Fabiano ½-½ 44 A27 English Dutch System
Ljubojevic, Ljubomir - Cheparinov, Ivan 0-1 40 D76 Gruenfeld 3.g3
Bareev, Evgeny - Wang Yue 0-1 71 B13 Caro Kann Exchange
Korchnoi, Viktor - L'Ami, Erwin 1-0 59 D43 Anti-Meran Gambit
Jussupow, Artur - Stellwagen, Daniël ½-½ 15 D45 Anti-Meran Variations
