ChessVibes is back in Dortmund. Due to some delay I arrived just ten minutes before the start of round five; just in time to start the camera(s).

Just like last year, I'll be covering the Sparkassen Chess Meeting from Dortmund, Germany. I've already uploaded some photos.

venue The entrance of the Schauspielhaus (Civic Theater) in rainy Dortmund

stage The stage of the theater with the four five boards. There's also an IM tournament being played, and each day one game is staged between the elite players.

Mamedyarov - Kramnik Shakhryiar Mamedyarov and Vladimir Kramnik, waiting for the round to start

Van Wely - Gustafsson Loek van Wely and Jan Gustafsson doing the same. The Dutchman will sacrifice three pawns today.

Leko - Nepomniachtchi Peter Leko and Ian Nepomniachtchi are also about to make their first moves.

Ivanchuk - Naiditsch Vassily Ivanchuk and Arkadij Naiditsch have begun, and so have the others, and so has the fifth round.

Stay tuned for on-the-spot (video) coverage!
