Baden-Baden Are German Champions
An exciting final weekend of fierce competition in the Schachbundesliga ended with Baden-Baden taking the title.
In the penultimate round the Baden-Baden team defeated Mulheim 4.5-3.5 thanks to wins from Arkadij Naiditch (pictured) and Rustem Dautov. Then they crushed Keternberg 7-1 in the final round to finish in style.
The Baden-Baden team for the final two rounds were Shirov, Bacrot, Adams, Naiditsch, Vallejo Pons, Nisipeanu, Gustafsson and Dautov.Â
