bundesliga_logo_2010.gifThe opening two rounds of the 2012/13 German Chess League took place last weekend.

The Schachbundesliga is arguably the strongest national chess league in the world, with 271 top players from 31 countries competing for the 16 league teams.

The winners for the last 7 years OSG Baden-Baden got off to a good start by winning both their matches. They defeated Hamburger SK 5½-2½ in the first round and SK Norderstedt 7½-½.

Winning games from Etienne Bacrot, Paco Vallejo Pons, Liviu Dieter-Nisipeanu and Arkadij Naiditsch are below.

SG Solingen, SV Wattenscheid and Wiesbadener SV also started with two match victories.
