Carlsen's G-Star photos in Amsterdam, and...?We return to Magnus Carlsen's modelling career once more, as the time has come that his photos are actually reaching us. In shops, in magazines and... at bus stops. Have you spotted them already?

On July 7th we reported that next to his chess activities, Magnus Carlsen started a fashion model career. The 19-year-old Norwegian was contracted by international clothing brand G-Star. In the campain Carlsen stars together with world famous actress Liv Tyler.

The photography for the campaign was done by star photographer Anton Corbijn. The G-Star press release described the combination of Carlsen and Tyler as one of contrasting and unexpected elements, "one of G-Star’s key philosophies".

On September 10th, as part of the campaign, Magnus Carlsen played a game against The World in what was called Raw World Chess Challenge. The World was helped by three strong grandmasters but Carlsen won relatively smoothly.

The G-Star Fall/Winter 2010 campaign is now reaching consumers and we have spotted them on several occasions already. For instance, travelling by train from Brussels to Amsterdam a while ago, this is what yours truly spotted in the Belgian tabloid Metro:

This week we suddenly discovered Magnus (and Liv) at Amsterdam bus/tram stops, and we just thought it was... very cool! Here are a few examples, taken in the Bos & Lommer neighbourhood in the Dutch capital.
