Changes in the selection criteria for Indian National Championship and Olympiad team

All India Chess Federation Central Council Meeting was held at the Nehru Stadium in Chennai on December 21, 2007. In the meet, they discussed about the selection criteria for the Indian Olympiad Chess team, National A tournament selection and format, venues for the National Chess Championships and National B chess tournament format. Few important decisions were taken in the meet. The meeting was chaired by the All India Chess Federation's President N. Srinivasan.
Chess players association of India have requested All India Chess Federation to reconsider the decision of changing the National 'A' tournament format.
