TwitchCon Paris takes place on July 8 and 9, 2023, and chess will be well-represented as one of the internet's most popular games.

Some of the biggest names in chess content creation will be present at the convention to meet their fans and introduce even more people to the world of chess. The all-star list of chess streamers and content creators in attendance includes GM Eric Hansen and GM Aman Hambleton from ChessBrah, Nemo, BlitzStream, Lularobs, PhotoChess, Lile Koridze, AlexandraChess, Anna-Maja Kazarian, JahnyErMjukur, AngelikaChessborn, HannahSayce, and more.

Chess.com will also be in attendance with an official booth packed with activities and will host a range of community events and competitions over the course of the weekend.

TwitchCon visitors can use available boards to play chess with their friends or Chess.com staff, solve chess puzzles for prizes, and get free Chess.com merchandise. There will also be a set-up-the-board competition with the fastest time receiving a chessboard signed by GM Magnus Carlsen.

Many of the all-star creators are likely to be found playing visitors (some during simuls) and each other, and participate in fun games like hand-and-brain chess, blindfold chess, and more. The full schedule will be published on Chess.com's social media at a later date.

There will also be a community picnic at 12 p.m. local time on July 7 at the Jardin du Luxembourg (on the east side of the park), which is a great chance for chess fans to meet like-minded people and play some games. To attend the community picnic, please register for free here.

2022 saw chess take a prominent role at TwitchCon events in both Amsterdam and San Diego, with increased public interest in the game becoming apparent in the number of visitors (including first-time players and beginners) flocking to the Chess.com booths.

According to Trym Sørsdal, Director of Community Operations at Chess.com: “The number of people who played chess in our booth last year was astonishing. People of all skill levels stopped by, and we even witnessed some falling in love with the game for the first time!”

TwitchCon Paris tickets are available for purchase on the official website. Chess.com will also be hosting an official booth at TwitchCon Las Vegas later this year.
