Game Review Now On Mobile Apps
Chess.com is proud to announce that you can now enjoy Game Review in the newest versions of our mobile apps for Android and iOS! Study your moves like never before, review key moments, and relish your latest brilliant move right from your phone. Aside from Game Review, we've made other significant improvements that you can't miss. Take a look at everything that's new:
Game Review Hits Mobile
Having a deep understanding of your games has never been easier—you can now check your games right from your phone with Game Review! Wherever you are, you now have access to all the tools you need to analyze your games.
Your new mobile Game Review is now much more similar to the one you can find on the web. After each game, you can tap "Start" to go over every single move and let your trusty virtual Coach show you all the key moments of the game. Just like on the web version, Coach will stop at your last book move and tell you the name of the opening, how well you perform with it, and a few moves that masters play in the resulting position.
After you tap "Next," Coach will keep going and stop whenever there's a key moment—a great move you've played or where you could have avoided making a mistake. Whenever he gets to one of your missteps, he'll give you the chance to improve on your play by making a different move.
Diamond members now can also enjoy coach explanations on mobile, too! Coach will tell you the purpose behind each move and explain why a move was good or bad.
New Analysis Board
Game Review is not the only thing that has changed. You can now start an analysis board right from your phone. Whether you want to set up and check a specific position or go over a game while reading a chess book, this is the perfect tool to improve your chess. You can even choose to see the engine evaluation, lines, or arrows showing threats and the best move. Just go to the Learn tab and start analyzing games!
Other Improvements
The new app version brings many other improvements that will make your mobile chess experience smoother and more enjoyable. Below you can find a list of all the changes we've made:
- Reorganized Play tab that facilitates navigation and shows your Daily Puzzle streak.
- You can now challenge your friends to a game using a QR code (Android only).
- Bots now have more personality and will talk during a game.
- You can watch your favorite top players by going to the Watch tab.
- Use the Stats screen to see how you stack up against other players.
- Check out your opponents on the brand-new profile screen (iOS only).
