fide logo big.gifThe Chinese team dominated the 2011 Women's World Team Championships in Turkey, winning the gold medal.

China's only match loss was to Ukraine in round eight, but they still ensured their first place finish with a round to spare.

The most significant contest of the championship was undoubtedly China's 4-0 drubbing of Russia in round five.

Despite this setback, Russia eventually claimed the silver medal after the Indian team lost their last two matches to slip back to fourth place. Georgia took the bronze medal.
