The European Individual Chess Championships in Plovdiv is nearing it's climax with just three rounds left to go.  In today's 8th round, Yelena Dembo slipped back after losing to Natalia Zhukova in a Scotch Game. 

The lead in the women's competition is now tied between Katryno Lahno (pictured), Anna Ushenina, the veteran Pia Cramling,  Natalia Zhukova and Almira Skripchenko.
