After a slow start in the first few rounds at the NH Tournament in Amsterdam, the Experience team has clawed back ground against the Rising Stars to trail by just a single point after six rounds.

The fourth round saw wins for Svidler, Ljubojevic and Nielsen; round five was then evenly matched, but the experience team edged round six thanks to wins from Gelfand and Van Wely.

That leaves the score as Rising Stars 15.5 - Experience 14.5.

In the race for the top spot among the Rising Stars, and the much sought-after invite to Melody Amber next year, Anish Giri (pictured) leads Hikaru Nakamura by half a point.
