There was some exciting action in round 9 with Morozevich defeating Kramnik and Grischuk defeats Gelfand to shake up the standings.

 

The games were:

GM Grischuk - GM Gelfand, 1-0 

GM Anand - GM Aronian, 1/2-1/2

GM Leko - GM Svidler, 1/2-1/2
