French Team Championships

Those chess addicts among you who are waiting impatiently for the next big event*, could do worse that to pass the time by perusing some of the games currently taking place in the French Team Championships.

As is common in European leagues, the top teams have many foreign imports playing; the French league has Svidler and Nakamura (pictured) to name just two, as well as locals like Bacrot and Vachier-Lagrave.

Some of the lively games from the competition are below. Nakamura has commented some of his games at the event at his blog.

*The 2009 US Championships start on 8th May and the Mtel Masters starts on 13th May.
